Kaichou wa Maid-sama

So this anime/ manga is really funny and sweet. It's more shojo so if you don't like that type of thing, maybe not for you.
The story follows Misaki Ayuzawa, a high school class president, who is incredibly strict, especially to the boys of the school. The school only recently became coed and is still primarily boys. Misaki wants to improve the school and make sure that girls are welcome and treated well.
Misaki, ready to confiscate inappropriate magazines and striking fear into other student's hearts.
Unbeknownst to the student body, Misaki also has a job as a maid at a maid cafe in order to help make money for her family. Then one day a boy from her school, Takumi Usui, runs into her while she is at her job. He is the guy at her school who is basically good at everything, but he doesn't tell others her secret. He starts coming to the cafe where she works, and eventually becomes a part-time cook there. As the story goes on he ends up helping Misaki with numerous problems, and they become friends. Sort of.
Anyway that's the main gist of the story, with lots of details and twists left out. It's a really funny read, and the characters and story line, while they might sound kind of cheesy, are actually really interesting. It started in 2005, and is published by Hakusensha/ Tokyopop.
