Bleach, Why I Think Nel is Awesome, and a Quick Thank You

So for those who read the Bleach Manga, and read the most recent chapter, *Screaming* *Cheering* *Jumping up and down* Yay!!!!!! Like, seriously, I actually jumped up and down and made a weird squeal screeching noise when I got to a certain part. Hopefully you can figure out which part. But for those who do not read the manga or are not caught up, I don't want to spoil it.

(Note: There may be some spoilers if you have not read up to chapter 245, or watched up to episode 145)
Anyway, Nel is one of my favorite characters, and I think that she is awesome for several reasons.
First of all, both the shortened "Nel" and "Neliel Tu Odelschwanck" are unique and memorable. And her character is so funny. As kid-version Nel, she has the funniest lines (I should probably do a favorite Nel quotes post) and is so energetic and obnoxious it's comical. I also love how she interacts with Ichigo; she tends to bring out a different side of Ichigo that I enjoy seeing.
I also think that it's refreshing that she was an Espada who actually cared about her Fracción. Her relationship with them now, as the Thieves: Nel-Don-Pe, is hilarious. They seem a little bit moronic in the beginning, when they begin freaking out over Ichigo and his group, thinking that they are bad, and then eventually helping them out. (Let's be honest, Pesche and Dondochakka seem moronic way after the beginning)
And Nel herself, her spit has healing powers!! How great is that? Not to mention her ability to eat, then re-release ceros.
Her adult form, being the ex-third espada, is really cool in that on the one hand she was really powerful, and on the other hand she is no longer one of Aizen's little minions.
I also have to say that Nel has one of my favorite release forms. I know some other characters do transform to a certain extent, but Nel's transformation to half-chamois is so different, and her release command of Gamuza, "Declare," only makes her more, well, Epic.

sorry this post was so long!

  5. everybody likes different characters, so I get that. =) I guess I just always found her character funny and entertaining. and I'm a girl too, so it's possible to find her a cool character and not find her attractive lol. =)
anyway, keep reading! and come back sometime and tell us what you think of the turn back the pendulum chapters, those were some of my favorites! I should really do a post about that...
